Hi I’m Luke Nash, age 26. I had started drawing on care later than most. Being involved in policy development, addressing conferences and speaking up for those people who are in wheelchairs and maybe don’t have a voice or platform to speak out is so important to me.
One of my biggest achievements is working with the former prime minister and chancellor to change planning law. I had contributed by writing a report which then resulted in change of law.
I have been involved in policy/advocacy work. I have written articles, spoken on radio stations, etc. I have an ongoing interest with politics and policy development. I sit on the adult social care co-production board for my local council. I currently work for IMPACT at various different levels of the organisation and I occasionally work with social care futures and TLAP.
I require full support and would also need full wheelchair access.
