Introduction to the Personal Outcome Evaluation Tool for Education, Health and Care Plans

January 12, 2018

If you are a parent or carer of a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), or a child or young person who has an EHCP, then we would like to know how the process was for you.

Watch an introduction to the POET:

The Personal Outcomes Evaluation Tool (POET) has been designed to capture the views of children and young people, parents/carers and practitioners about the experience of obtaining an Education Health and Care (EHC) plan. The Children and Families Act aims to transform the SEND system to better meet the needs of children, young people and their families. The national and local data generated by using the POET provides a way to evidence this change and influence implementation locally and nationally.

Over 70 Children's Services have volunteered to participate in the POET so If you are a parent or carer of a child who has an EHC Plan, or a child or young person who has an EHCP, then we would like to have your feedback on how the process was for you.
